Per 1 januari 2018 zijn over heel Nederland wetenschappers binnen NeuroLabNL van start gegaan met een “Startimpuls”, een subsidie die gebaseerd is op de Nationale Wetenschapsagenda. NeuroLabNL is dé werkplaats voor hersen-, cognitie- en gedragsonderzoek. Een werkplaats, omdat professionals vanuit Universiteiten, Hogescholen, kennisinstellingen en maatschappelijke organisaties samenwerken aan onderzoek en kennisverspreiding over hersenen, cognitie en gedrag. Een van de thema’s binnen de Startimpuls is onderwijs.

Together with my group, I study the development of social cognition (empathy, perspective taking, trust) in adolescence, and the role of the social environment in this development. We investigate these processes at the level of behaviour (questionnaires, neuropsychological tasks, observation) and the neural mechanisms (fMRI and EEG).
